Manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) Geek+ has partnered with Melbourne-based Conveyor Logistics to offer supply chain solutions for the Australian warehousing and logistics market.
Conveyor Logistics describes itself as a specialist in systems integration for materials handling, order fulfilment, packaging automation, and conveyor solutions.
Rohan Vocale, Managing Director of Conveyor Logistics, said: “As a manufacturer and integrator of conveyor systems, we recognised the importance of staying abreast of emerging trends in warehouse automation.
“Our attention was drawn to the increasing use of AMRs within the industry, prompting us to seek out a partnership with the leading AMR provider, Geek+. While AMRs may supplant conveyors in certain applications, their integration with conveyors can be mutually beneficial.”
With this partnership, the two companies are offering customers a ‘complete automation solution’ comprising conveyor systems from Conveyor Logistics and AMRs from Geek+. Both firms are hoping that this solution will deliver ‘an innovative and seamless automation experience’ to customers.
In recent months, Geek+ AMRs have been deployed in warehouses by CEVA Logistics in Belgium and NEXT in Yorkshire.
Lit Fung, Vice President and Managing Director of Overseas Business at Geek+, added: “We are thrilled to have formed a partnership with Conveyor Logistics. With their impressive track record of intralogistics systems integration spanning over three decades, we have great confidence in their ability to leverage Geek+ technology to develop innovative and efficient supply chain solutions in Australia.”
Geek+ exhibited at IntraLogisteX 2023 in March. IntraLogisteX is returning to the NEC, Birmingham on 19-20 March 2024, once again co-located with Robotics and Automation and with the new addition of the Sustainable Supply Chain Exhibition.
