Chris Gateley has been appointed chief executive of TVS Automotive Europe following TVS’s takeover of Multipart at the end of last year.
He will retain his role as managing director of Multipart and will also join the board of TVS CJ Components. The chief executives of the TVS joint ventures in Europe, including TVS Autoserv in Germany and TVS Logistics Iberia, will report to Gateley, as will Wilson Roy, the former procurement director at Cummins who is responsible for supporting organic growth and procurement planning.
TVS Logistics currently has sales of £140m and plans to double this over the next two years.
R Dinesh, chairman of TVS Logistics, said: “We have been continuously investing resources and time in Europe to enable us to reach this platform for growth and the time has come for us to begin planning to meet our sales and profit growth ambitions. The appointment of Chris Gateley to this new role will enable us to meet our targets through both organic and acquisition growth.”
