This year’s Supply Chain Excellence Awards, which was attended by more than 750 supply chain, logistics and industrial property professionals, included a brand-new category to recognise the outstanding work of professionals in the industrial and logistics property sector.
The first-ever Property Partner of the Year Award was open to entries from agents and developers working with occupiers on innovative property strategies to support clients’ short-, medium- and long-term business ambitions.
Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) impressed the judges and walked away with the inaugural trophy for this category. The global real estate services company describes its Occupier Services team as “unrivalled” in the UK real estate market due to the “comprehensive service offering” that it provides to its clients.
JLL believes that different skill sets, disciplines, and experience give its team the unique ability to manage an occupier requirement from conception to strategy and design. Its winning NxT digital solution can also be used to review the market by “combining advanced real estate expertise with technology”. This helps JLL’s Tenant Representation team to “achieve the best deal possible on behalf of the client”, and helped secure the company’s win in this first-time category.
In particular, judges praised JLL’s ability to show “clear demonstration of scale, end-to-end solutions and technology to improve time and efficiencies” for its customers. As well as proving clear business and organisational benefits from JLL’s services, the judging panel also highlighted how the company showed a “deep understanding of occupier’s needs” and that “their investment in supply chain knowledge from hiring team members with backgrounds in the field to their ongoing education of the wider staff shows a commitment to furthering this understanding”.
The calibre of entries to this brand-new category was incredibly high, with an even greater pool of candidates from across the industrial logistics and property segment expected to apply next year.
